Escape building
A downloadable platformer for Windows
I am not the only author of this masterpiece. I've worked on it with Jaminna.
CONTROLS
W/K_UP/SPACE = jump
A/K_LEFT = move left
D/K_RIGHT = move right
TAB = return to main menu
GAMEPLAY
When you open the game, you start in a black room which is the temporary main menu (temporary because I might add a different style main menu in future updates). When you move the player onto the "TUTORIAL" portal, the game presents the carefully designed tutorial for you to be able to learn the game's mechanics. If you beat the tutorial, you can return to the main menu where you can either replay it or play freeplay mode.
FREEPLAY MODE
Freeplay mode is an endless game mode with infinite different level designs that are automatically generated by the game. I tried to make it as playable as possible, but there is still a 10% or so chance that the level will be impossible to beat. In that case, the player can either reenter the freeplay mode from the main menu or jump to their death and respawn.
FIREMODE
A mode that shares the map with the tutorial and has fires that can make you respawn. Reaching the exit moves the exit to another location every time you touch the exit. The game continues forever, unless you turn it off or go to the main menu.
Please note that I:
-am an indie dev
-am 15yo
-have very little experience with programming compared to the other devs out there
